I believe in Science and Technology as a means to a better future. Through innovation we continue to push the boundaries of Sci-Tech further, creating a World in which Humanity prospers in balance with Nature.
I want to make things that people want and need, and for that a whole set of skills is required. From marketing and sales to human psychology, a good innovator must have a wider skill set than being only technical.
Although being technical, is de facto important. If needed, I can dive deep into a product, as a Senior Software Engineer and Developer in the market, and then back to the business, closing the loop in order to create the best products and services that Society can benefit from. Back end, front end, mobile and desktop, DLT, IoT and now AI, I've got you covered.
Good leaders lead by example. A strong technical background aligned with leadership, creates a great leader that has empathy for his team, as he knows the ups and downs of the craft, and naturally earns their respect. Not a leader, not a technical guy, but both. That's the professional I strive to be.
Distributed Ledger Technology - DLT, is, at it's core, a way to bring more equality and transparency to Society, specially in finance. It's a Robin Hood technology, and I love it. In the past years I've worked heavily with all kinds of DLT projects, most using Blockchain as the main implementation, both in private/permissioned and public settings. Note: Blockchain is a data structure, and is only one implementation of a distributed ledger. There are other implementations such as: IOTA's Tangle, Hedera's Hashgraph etc.
Nowadays everything is or will be connected to the Internet. And since the internet brings about the sum of Humanity's knowledge and possibilities, I appreciate this connection very much. Although I haven't done heavy work with IoT in the market, I have made a facial recognition app using a Raspberry PI + camera, and also a buzzer that can be toggled from a web page. I might do more IoT in the future, but for now I'm laser focused in my current projects #sourceloop.
Another technology I'm very interested at, and with SourceLoop I'm starting to dive into it, is AI. It's crazy interesting and powerful what can be done with AI, I'm looking forward to understand more of it, past machine learning and deep learning, and also considering the societal and philosophical questions and implications AI brings. Hopefully we can prevent the advent of Skynet and nation 01, while still evolving this amazing technology ;D
